Accessibility Statement

We want everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use the NotchIt website with ease. The site was made accessible in line with Israel’s Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013.

Last updated: November 4, 2026

Conformance level

The site follows Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on WCAG 2.0 level AA, and is built for both desktop and mobile.

What we did

  • Full keyboard navigation with a clearly visible focus ring, and a “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
  • A hierarchical heading structure and semantic landmarks (navigation, main content, footer), so screen readers can identify each part of the page.
  • Alternative text for meaningful images; purely decorative elements are hidden from screen readers.
  • Colour contrast that meets the standard for text and buttons.
  • Respect for the system “Reduce motion” setting: animations stop and the animated icon is replaced with a still image.
  • Respect for the system “Reduce transparency” setting: translucent surfaces become solid.
  • The page language is declared (Hebrew right-to-left, English left-to-right), and English words inside Hebrew text are marked with the correct direction.
  • The layout adapts to any screen width and can be zoomed to 200% without losing content.

Accessibility menu

Every page has a fixed accessibility button in the corner of the screen, also reachable by keyboard. It opens a menu with:

  • Larger or smaller text.
  • High contrast.
  • Greyscale.
  • Highlighted links.
  • Readable font.
  • Line and letter spacing.
  • Stop animations.
  • Large cursor.
  • Reset all settings.

Your settings are saved in your browser and apply to every page of the site.

Known limitations

  • The app demos on the site (the text scrolling inside the notch and the moving logo strip) are illustrations. Their content also appears as plain text on the page, and they can be stopped from the accessibility menu.
  • Some scroll effects (cards that spread open) carry no information; everything in them is available without the effect.

If you find something that is not accessible to you, please tell us and we will fix it as soon as we can.

The app

The Mac and iPhone app is built on Apple’s interface components, and its buttons carry labels for screen readers. You can set the scrolling speed or let it follow your speaking pace. We keep improving its accessibility and welcome your feedback.
